Your appointment with the Naturopath – What to Expect

YOUR APPOINTMENT WITH THE NATUROPATH – WHAT TO EXPECT

Thank you for seeking the guidance of a natural healthcare practitioner on your journey to better health. Here at Christine-Jane Naturopath clinic I offer a comprehensive Naturopathic Consultation with a qualified Naturopath and Medical Herbalist. I have a practitioner Diploma in Fertility and Reproductive Health.

I am  fully qualified to dispense high quality and clinically effective products for you to achieve optimal health and quality of life. I regularly attend training seminars and keep well-informed of the latest research and treatment options to give you the best health outcomes.

In my clinic I support several practitioner companies as part of my clinic practice, and this include Metagenics, Nutrisearch, Bioceuticals and FX Med. These are clinic based “Practitioner Only” health care products and support programmes. The Metagenics range of Natural Medicine is exclusively available to qualified Health Care Practitioners.  I can use functional pathology testing through Nutrisearch and FX Med, and use the highly recommended supplementation ranges that come from these companies as well.

The first part of your health plan with me will involve you filling in an online questionnaire which will provide us with some of the information required for your individual health plan. If you are coming as a fertility couple, there will be an additional form for the both of you to fill in specifically aimed at collecting vital information related to your fertility. The first appointment will take an hour to hour half if for fertility appointments, during which I ask questions related to the findings from your questionnaire and extra information such as diet and lifestyle habits. Once I have gathered the information, I will spend some time putting together dietary and lifestyle recommendations as well as nutritional and herbal supplementation, a tailor-made plan that covers short and long term health goals.

During this process you will receive a folder, which holds your diet plans, results and treatment plan. This process is different for everyone, and the frequency of appointments will be dependent on your desired goals and the treatment plan. The cost of products suggested is an additional cost.

Restoring full health and attaining wellness is an exciting process. I am  dedicated to working with you; supporting and guiding you all the way. This is a commitment that is full of rewards, including new found energy, vitality, awareness and understanding. The early stages are more intense. Over time, as you achieve your goals, you will find the process of maintaining your optimal health and wellness simply becomes the way you live your life.

What will it cost?

The first appointment is the stage where I gather the information required to put together your personalised treatment plan. It involves you, the client filling in an online questionnaire which is comprehensive, which gives me the practitioner, some idea of the areas we need to focus on. This stage takes approx. 45 minutes of your time, and the results are sent directly to me. I will then spend time looking at the results to have an idea of what areas need to be focused on first. I then use this to fine tune the plan. The cost of this appointment is $100.

After this, all other appointments will be $50.00  and take between half an hour and 45 minutes.

When working with fertility clients it is important that I treat both parties within the relationship. You will both receive individual plans as well as advice on improved lifestyle and environment if required. Separate forms will be required to fill in, as when we are looking at this important treatment plan I will require some extra information.

The investment for this is $340 per couple for the first two appointments, where I collect the information and then present you with a plan. Any further appointments after that are $100 for the couple, or $50 for a single.

As with any client I see, any extra testing and supplements and/or herbal tonics are an extra investment, and will be discussed with you during your consultation.

Extra testing

Sometimes I need to use other tools to establish certain things in my comprehensive clinic environment. Below is a cost and description of some these, you may need only a few of these, or you may need all; each case is different.

Hair Intolerance Testing  $110.00

Hair intolerance testing uses an EAV machine method, which is an easy, painless and way for you to find out what foods or environmental intolerance’s may be causing irritation and possibly contributing to your health and well being issues. The testing using the EAV machine measures the difference in electromagnetic resonance when the hair sample is exposed to various test substances. This test quantifies changes in electromagnetic energy and is not measuring a list of antibodies or immunoglobulin’s.

Other testing that might be required or suggested may include the following (prices will be discussed  as required):

  • MTHFR gene mutation testing
  • Male or female hormone profile
  • Adrenal Stress Profile or D.U.T.C.H. Hormone Metabolite Assessment
  • Comprehensive Stool Analysis
  • Iodine loading
  • Comprehensive Thyroid Profile
  • Full Gene profiles

There are many more functional pathology tests available, and depending on your condition and requirements they may also be suggested during your consultation with me.

Often a comprehensive blood analysis from your GP may also be requested.

I look forward to seeing you soon.
